  15. Last Access is a tiny TSR which monitors all accesses for any file on
  16. your system.  Last Access keeps track of the last time a file was
  17. accessed, and by what program.  An access occurs anytime you edit,
  18. change, or even view a file.  Last Access remains in memory, "watching"
  19. these accesses, and marking the accesses in the DOS directory.
  20. Patri-Soft has provided a special directory utility that you can use
  21. instead of DOS' DIR.   This directory scanner will provide you with all
  22. the information that DOS DIR provides you with, in addition to the last
  23. access date and program.  Also, you can configure the output to fit you
  24. needs.

  28. Imagine having a full hard drive.  You want to get rid of some files
  29. that are unused, but have no way of knowing when the files were last
  30. used, and by what program.  So, you type:

  32.         C:\WP\FILES>  DIR

  34. and you get:

  37.          Volume Serial Number is 1A7F-7458
  38.          Directory of C:\WP\FILES

  47. You still have no idea as to what files you can get rid of, and what
  48. files you need to keep.  Imagine being able to type:

  67. Now you know exactly when you last used any file on your entire system.
  68. Imagine the megabytes of disk space that can be freed with this
  69. knowledge!

  71. If you don't use any given file/program for a period of 30 days, chances
  72. are you are not going to use it at all.  Run the Last Access TSR for 30
  73. days and you can then start getting rid of all those unused files.

  79.                 *  Some software packages include files that you do not
  80.                    use.  Last Access can help you get rid of those
  81.                    unused portions of the software

  83.                 *  Manage your office machines by knowing what was being
  84.                    used, and when it was used.
